Angela Alexander, AuD

Auditory Processing Institute

Angela Alexander, Au.D., CCC-A, MNZAS, graduated from the University of Kansas in 2010 with a Doctor of Audiology. Angela’s passion is in the treatment of Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).

Angela was privileged to have been mentored by Jack Katz, Ph.D., a world-leading expert on APD. Learn more about Dr. Katz here. Angela worked with Katz for seven years between 2004 to 2012, building her knowledge and expertise. Listen to her podcast.

Following this, Angela worked as an audiologist in New Zealand for the past decade. She moved to Sunshine Coast, Australia in November 2020.

Her TEDx talk: Escaping the Hidden Prison of Auditory Processing Disorder was the most-watched TEDx worldwide in September of 2021.

With the Auditory Processing Institute, Angela is looking to train her peers in the skills needed to provide effective APD diagnostic and therapeutic options. She aims to double the number of SLP/Au.D. professionals providing effective auditory processing services through the online APD Master Courses by 2022.

Jack Katz, PhD

Since 1962 Jack Katz has given 100s of talks, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Most of his workshops deal with CAP or the SSW test.

Kamal Elliot, AuD

A& E Audiology & Hearing Aid Center

Dr. Kamal Elliot, Au.D. is Founder & President of A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid Center. Dr. Elliot started her practice in 2000, and since then it has grown to include three full-time clinics and five doctors of audiology. Her interests include adult & pediatric diagnostics, adult & pediatric amplification, tinnitus, auditory processing disorder, and aural-cognitive rehabilitation. A passionate advocate for audiologists, Dr. Elliot is a recipient of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology’s George S. Osborne award for her contributions to the profession. Dr. Elliot serves as Member of the Board of Directors of Entheos Audiology Cooperative, an organization that organizes humanitarian aid trips in 7 developing countries. She has personally attended over 20 overseas mission trips to provide relief in the form of hearing healthcare and hearing aids. Dr. Elliot has also served as Member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and as President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.

Jill Davis, AuD

Victory Hearing and Balance Center

Jill Davis, AuD is Owner and Audiologist of Victory Hearing & Balance in Austin, Texas and the creator of the Victory Brain Training Program, a music-based auditory training program. She has a passion for improving communication and believes music has a significant impact on our ability to understand speech. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Audiology degrees from the University of Cincinnati and specializes in hearing rehabilitation, auditory processing disorders, tinnitus, cochlear implants, auditory training, and cognitive screening.
