Emily McMahan, AuD

Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center/ Feedback Audiology Solutions & Consulting

Dr. Emily McMahan attended the University of Cincinnati where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She furthered her professional education by obtaining her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in 2013. Dr. McMahan has been practicing in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Alaska since her graduation. She has been a private practice owner for the past 7 years.  Practicing in the Last Frontier has provided many opportunities for out of the box audiology services.  She is also the founder of Feedback Audiology Solutions and Consulting. Feedback is to help other professionals in practice management, tinnitus marketing and techniques, telehealth, team building, and billing & credentialing services. 

Dr. McMahan is a commissioned officer for the Mayor’s Senior Advisory Commission helping to protect the aging population and existing seniors in AK. She has shown her community a positive approach to hearing healthcare and has been repeatedly recognized as a top provider.  She is Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology and she holds ABA certificates in both Tinnitus Management and Audiology Preceptor. Volunteering to further the profession of Audiology is an important aspect of her career. Regularly hosting Audiology students is an  honor of her private practice as shaping future colleagues is a privilege. She has held the following board position with Audiology Practice Standards Organization: Past Treasurer, Current Vice President, and current 2022, President.

Rebecca Grome, AuD

Ears 4 U Hearing Services

Dr. Rebecca Grome is the primary audiologist and owner of Ears4u Hearing Services.  She completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) at the University of Cincinnati and her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Miami University in Oxford, OH.  Prior to working at Ears 4 U Hearing Services, Dr. Grome was a hearing aid manufacturer regional sales manager, where she found strength in training other audiologists in patient centric approaches to amplification.  Dr. Grome specializes in audiologic evaluations and hearing aid services, and has a passion for hearing conservation for local musicians. She thrives on patient success and getting to know them personally. When Dr. Grome isn’t caring for her patients she enjoys exploring Music City with her husband, Nick, and two young children, Perry and Naoma.  Her hobbies include unsuccessfully hoarding house plants, book club, and drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee.

Natalie Phillips, AuD

Audiology Center of Northern Colorado

Dr. Natalie Phillips is passionate about building deep relationships and authentic connections to help make a difference in the world together.  She is committed to assisting individuals and businesses to become more of who they are and to live out their brand.  She believes in creating environments in which people can connect on different levels to help their businesses succeed.  She created and is Founder and CEO of Connect4Excellence, LLC, a company dedicated to guide individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses to connect to their own mission and culture, to connect to others at organized events, to connect to their own voice with a bigger audience on social media, and to connect to be able to give back and create social impact.  She is host of Connecting A Better World, a podcast aimed to connect people to listen, learn, and spark interest in how they themselves see what they can bring forth to make this world a better place. She has hosted a weekly Facebook Live show, Just Connect, with topics surrounding ways to connect in business, social media, and in a professional setting, with episodes now available on YouTube.

As Co-Founder of ACT Now Consulting, LLC and Co-Author of ACT Now! A Simple Guide to Take Action on Your Greatest Goals and Dreams, she believes that many of us have great ideas and were created to bring something unique to the world. Dr. Phillips believes that no matter where you are in your journey, we all need accountability and environments to motivate and learn together so that we can all take ACTion!

Dr. Phillips is owner of Audiology Center of Northern Colorado in Fort Collins, Colorado.  As co-host of a weekly Facebook Live show, All Things AuD, join in the conversation with Dr. Phillips every Thursday at 12:30pm MST to discuss and learn topics on ears, hearing, hearing technology, tinnitus, sound sensitivity, and balance disorders. In addition to seeing patients and diagnosing and treating hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders of the ear, being involved in research and on clinical advisory boards, she has volunteered her time to travel overseas to India, Peru, Guyana, and Mexico as well as served in the United States as a Global Hearing Ambassador to deliver the gift of hearing with the Starkey Hearing Foundation by fitting hearing aids on people who are unable to afford the technology.

She founded a professional women’s group whose mission was to inspire, ignite, and assist other women achieve their potential in today’s professional setting.  Dr. Phillips also served as a Global Ambassador for a female entrepreneurial group and initiative to provide the tools, technology, and resources to empower women as leaders and successful entrepreneurs.

Alex Tarvin, AuD

Elevate Audiology

Dr. Alexandra Tarvin is the founder of Elevate Audiology. She is a highly-trained audiologist focused on patient needs with expertise in evaluating and treating hearing disorders, fitting hearing aids, and advising on tinnitus management. She works diligently to stay informed and up-to-date for her patients, establishing herself as one of the top audiologists in the nation.

Alexandra Tarvin, Au.D. is American Board of Audiology Certified. Dr. Tarvin received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of South Florida and her Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida. Dr. Tarvin completed her residency at a not-for-profit audiology institute in Louisville, Kentucky where she practiced all audiology specialties and focused on adult diagnostics and treatment.

She is a twice published researcher completing her audiology doctoral project, entitled Acceptable Noise Level and Hearing Aid Noise Reduction, which has also been presented at multiple conferences.

Dr. Tarvin is a Certified Fellow of the Tinnitus Practitioners Association specializing in tinnitus and sound sensitivity, member of the American Tinnitus Association, volunteers as Technology Chair and former President of the South Carolina Academy of Audiology, and is a committee member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She is a passionate advocate for access to audiology services and regularly participates in lobbying efforts to increase audiology awareness and services within the healthcare system and received an award in 2017 by the Academy of Doctors of Audiology for her efforts. She is originally from Queens, NY and grew up in central Florida. She lives in Greenville, SC with her veteran husband Brennan, son Miles, and dog Colby.
